This easy recipe is my most versatile recipe. It is fat-free, gluten-free, plant-based, and has no Medical Medium no-foods.

I use it as a base for so many of my fat-free meals, such as 

  1. Creamy sage and garlic sauce for my gluten-free gnocchis

  2. White sauce pizza with mushrooms or potato toppings

  3. Raita recipe, the perfect side dish for a spicy curry dish

Recipe

All Purpose White Sauce

Makes 8-10 servings / 8-10 x 6 oz containers

Ingredients

  • 2 head Cauliflower, steamed until tender

  • 1 cup apple juice

  • ½ cup  lemon juice, freshly squeezed 

  • 1 tablespoon raw honey, or maple syrup if you are vegan

Directions

1) Cut the cauliflower into florets and divide the stem into smaller pieces. Steam the cauliflower florets and the stem. 

2) Let the cauliflower cool down a bit and transfer it to the blender along with all the other ingredients. Blend all ingredients in a blender until the sauce is smooth, scraping down the sides of the blender if needed. 

3) Enjoy as a spread on a white sauce pizza, as a base for your healthy coleslaw, or vegan tzatziki recipe, or as a spread on a healthy sandwich spread.
